Fullstack Web Engineer (Vue/PHP)

Location: Remote within the United States; the role is listed in Atlanta, GA, United States of America.

Base salary: $110,000–$150,000 per year, adjusted based on candidate location. Additional compensation may include bonus and/or equity.

What you will do

• Build and maintain frontend features with Vue 3, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, semantic HTML, and responsive CSS.
• Develop and modernize frameworkless PHP 8.3 and Laravel backend services backed by MySQL.
• Own features end to end, from understanding customer needs through deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Improve performance, browser compatibility, accessibility, observability, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident triage, post-incident reviews, and operational documentation.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership through code reviews, pair programming, and technical decision-making.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years building production applications with Vue.js or a comparable component framework.
• Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript skills, with strong frontend and backend debugging experience.
• Production PHP experience, including frameworkless codebases, plus REST APIs and relational databases such as MySQL.
• Experience improving and modernizing existing systems, writing automated tests, and maintaining data integrity and security.
• Linux command-line and SSH proficiency, willingness to participate in on-call rotations, and ability to respond to production incidents.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining technical decisions to non-engineers.

Nice to have

• Laravel or other PHP framework experience.
• Linux administration, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud storage, monitoring, alerting, or observability experience.
• SaaS product experience, CI/CD and deployment automation, or legacy codebase refactoring experience.
• Experience collaborating with UX/UI designers or improving team processes, documentation, and developer tooling.
• Mobile development experience with iOS or Android.
