Salary: $100,800β$138,600 USD base pay annually for California

is a space company developing rockets, spacecraft, launch systems, and critical aerospace subsystems, including the Neutron rocket and Archimedes engine.
What you will do
- Design engine components and propulsion systems for the Archimedes engine.
- Develop and own mechanical design solutions that meet performance, quality, and manufacturability requirements.
- Perform trade studies and participate in design reviews with analysts, manufacturing engineers, and technical subject matter experts.
- Support propulsion hardware development from concept through production.
- Work with internal and external fabrication teams to bring designs into production.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a relevant engineering field.
- Strong foundation in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and structural mechanics.
- Proficiency in finite element analysis using ANSYS Workbench or similar software.
- Strong mechanical design, design-for-manufacturing, and GD&T knowledge.
- For work in US offices, eligibility to access ITAR-regulated technology is required: US citizenship, lawful US permanent residency, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or the ability to obtain the required authorizations.
Nice to have
- Experience with StarCCM+ or similar CFD software.
- Experience designing additively manufactured rocket engine components.
- Experience with propulsion system design, analysis, testing, operations, or manufacturing.
- Experience with aerospace hardware qualification and production practices.
- Experience in fast-paced development programs.
