Fraud Operations Senior Associate (Malaysia)

What you will do

• Lead and mentor Fraud Operations Analysts, providing guidance on investigations and operational improvements.
• Monitor and analyse fraud alerts, investigate suspicious activities, and handle escalated fraud cases.
• Use data analytics to identify fraud patterns, trends, and anomalies across transaction and user-activity data.
• Identify gaps in fraud systems and processes and implement data-driven operational enhancements.
• Develop preventive strategies based on investigative findings and collaborate with Compliance, Customer Service, and Product.
• Ensure fraud operations comply with payment regulations and card scheme rules.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in fraud detection and prevention, including at least 5 years in payments and card-fraud roles.
• Hands-on experience with Visa Risk Manager and MasterCard Decision Intelligence.
• Strong investigative, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience with spreadsheets, data visualisation tools, and analytics platforms such as Tableau.
• Ability to propose and implement fraud controls, strategies, and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stay current with fraud trends, technologies, and regulations.
