Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

What you will do

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports and complete reconciliations.
• Analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for business decisions.
• Prepare statutory filings and reports for the National Bank of Georgia and other regulators.
• Lead annual and interim audits while maintaining transparency and compliance.
• Partner with Tech, Product, Treasury, and other teams to build a robust financial framework.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or a professional qualification such as CA or ACCA.
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, especially IFRS 9 and financial instruments.
• At least 3–4 years of experience in Big Four accounting firms; fintech or financial services experience is beneficial.
• Advanced Excel skills, including macros and Power Query, with the ability to manage large datasets.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail, an innovative mindset, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
