Location: West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, United States; semiannual travel to other NNPP sites is required.

What you will do

• Support the A4W Fleet Interactive Training Equipment platform and cross-train on the A1B platform.
• Test and certify hardware- and software-based field changes before deployment to FITE sites.
• Develop and execute test programs focused on plant operations and simulated plant responses.
• Support groups developing field changes by working with Bettis-based FITE preproduction units.
• Travel semiannually to other Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology from an accredited college or university.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Previous A4W qualification as Engineering Officer of the Watch, Propulsion Plant Watch Officer, or Engineering Watch Supervisor.
• Ability to cross-train on the A1B platform and learn the simulation software platform.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and independent-work skills.
• US citizenship and an active DOE clearance or DOD equivalent are required.
