Furniture Sourcing Manager (AI)

Location: U.S.-based; work from the Denver or New York offices or remotely with periodic domestic and international supplier travel. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Salary: $90,000 annually, dependent on experience and location.

What you will do

• Set the sourcing strategy for upholstered furniture, manage manufacturer relationships, run business reviews, and onboard new factories.
• Lead RFPs and negotiate pricing, payment terms, capacity commitments, and supplier contracts across frames, foam, fabrics, and packaging.
• Forecast raw-material demand, manage BOMs and commodity pricing, and develop partnerships with fabric mills.
• Lead packaging procurement and optimize product protection, customer experience, cost, and waste.
• Use AI tools for supplier discovery, RFP automation, BOM analysis, cost modeling, scorecards, and commodity tracking.
• Coordinate product development calendars and collaborate with design, merchandising, operations, finance, studios, and customer experience teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Design, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in furniture sourcing or manufacturing procurement, ideally with upholstered products or seating.
• Deep knowledge of upholstered construction, including frames, foam densities, fabric cutting and sewing, and finished-goods cost drivers.
• Experience managing BOMs, running RFPs, negotiating supplier terms, and using Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and cost-modeling tools.
• Daily, hands-on AI fluency for supplier discovery, RFP automation, BOM analysis, cost modeling, or sourcing analytics is required.
• Strong communication, cross-cultural collaboration, analytical, and project-management skills, plus willingness to travel for factory visits and trade shows.
