Senior SCRUM Master

Location: Remote within the United States, based in Pittsburgh, PA, with travel to office locations as needed

Salary: $93,937–$159,693 annually

What you will do

• Coordinate, support, coach, and mentor multiple cross-functional Agile development teams using Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other collaborative team events.
• Help teams identify and remove impediments, using Scrum of Scrums to address cross-team barriers and challenging organizational impediments.
• Partner with Product Owners to align product vision, goals, customer-centric delivery, and backlog health.
• Co-create team working agreements, definitions of ready and done, and coaching backlogs with teams and Agile Coaches.
• Support Scrum @ Scale adoption, cross-team planning, delivery synchronization, dependency management, systems-level inspect-and-adapt activities, and organizational change using ADKAR and other change-management methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agile, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience on a Scrum team and 5+ years of experience with Lean and implementing a Kaizen mindset.
• 1+ year of experience working in a scaled environment, preferably Scrum @ Scale or SAFe.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, coaching, teaching, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to embody the Scrum values of openness, respect, courage, commitment, and focus.
• Bias for action and comfort working in an evolving or ambiguous environment.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States and travel to office locations as needed.

Nice to have

• Advanced credential from Scrum Alliance, Scrum Inc, Scrum.org, or ICAgile.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro, and Office 365.
• Experience encouraging experimental, fail-fast, and learning mindsets.
• Experience with teams applying DevSecOps capabilities to improve delivery speed and operational stability.
• Experience with scaled frameworks, especially Scrum @ Scale.
• Experience working with technical domains such as warehouse management systems, ERPs, financial systems, and data warehouses.
