Scrum Master (Banking)

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days per week from the office in Warsaw, Gdynia or Gdańsk, Poland.

Rate: Up to 105 PLN/hour on a B2B contract.

What you will do

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement and PI/Sprint-related activities.
• Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles, Scrum practices, continuous improvement and value-driven delivery.
• Provide transparency on progress, risks, impediments, dependencies and delivery commitments, and remove obstacles affecting productivity.
• Support the Product Owner with backlog management, prioritisation and planning.
• Track and improve velocity, predictability, lead time, cycle time, delivery quality and other Agile KPIs.
• Coordinate collaboration, release planning, governance, reporting, risk mitigation and Agile transformation initiatives across teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments.
• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and Agile delivery processes, with a strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Lean and Agile methodologies.
• Experience working with cross-functional technology teams including developers, architects, testers and infrastructure specialists.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and remove delivery impediments and manage dependencies across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including facilitation, conflict resolution and problem-solving.
• Experience with Agile management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence or similar.
• Experience tracking and reporting Agile metrics and delivery KPIs.
• Ability to coach teams and stakeholders in Agile practices and continuous improvement.
• Fluent English, both verbal and written.

Nice to have

• CSM, PSM I/II, SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist or similar certification.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments, preferably financial services or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and platform engineering concepts.
• Experience with distributed teams, Agile Release Trains, SAFe or other large-scale Agile frameworks.
• Understanding of IT governance, operational risk, compliance and security requirements.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, GCP and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience facilitating workshops, value stream mapping and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience working with Data, Analytics, Platform or Infrastructure teams.
