Senior Scrum Master (Agile)

Location: Remote within the United States; US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Suitability are required.

Salary: $135,000–$165,000 per year.

What you will do

• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and other Agile events using Scrum and Kanban.
• Lead technical delivery teams across the software development lifecycle, including design, development, quality assurance, security, deployment, and sustainment.
• Maintain the product backlog and ensure effective intake, refinement completeness, definition of ready, and definition of done.
• Coach teams on requirements gathering, analysis, change management, continuous delivery, process improvement, and workflow optimization.
• Engage team leadership, business owners, product owners, technical leads, QA and security leads, end users, and other stakeholders to support solution design, implementation, and customer feedback through UAT and demos.
• Analyze Agile metrics, synchronize integrated master schedules with team backlogs, and contribute to contractual deliverables and program reporting.

Requirements

• US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Suitability.
• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 11 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience applying Scrum and Kanban methodologies across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Experience with software development lifecycle, technical migration, testing, deployment practices and tools, and translating business needs into functional and technical requirements.
• Experience leading initiatives from concept through delivery and implementation.
• Hands-on proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Oracle, SN Agile Dev 2.0/CWM, or similar platforms.
• Experience converting integrated master schedules into team-level backlogs and keeping both synchronized.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities, communicate effectively, present to technical and non-technical audiences, develop documentation, and implement process improvements.

Nice to have

• Active Scrum certification or another industry-related Agile certification.
• Ability to interpret Agile metrics and reports, including velocity charts, burndowns/burnups, cumulative flow diagrams, and control charts.
• Experience as a Scrum Master on IT modernization projects or enterprise solutions involving multiple cross-functional teams, preferably in professional services, federal consulting, or DHS environments.
• Experience working as a servant leader across multiple Agile teams and recommending Scrum, Kanban, or other techniques based on situational needs.
• Expertise engaging product owners, business owners, and end users to ensure delivery quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Experience evolving efficiencies through Agile coaching and developing metrics-based dashboards or reports to guide coaching and validate process decisions.
• Previous experience building and testing software products.
