Chip Process Tool Maintenance Technician (Semiconductor): Maintaining and stabilizing semiconductor wafer-processing tools in a manufacturing fab with an accent on preventive maintenance, equipment recovery, and mass-production capacity ramp-up. Focus on responding to sudden tool malfunctions during day and night shifts, executing PM plans, and checking wafer process conditions after equipment restart.

Location: Sagamihara, Japan; onsite day and night shift work

What you will do

Improve the stable operation of existing front-end manufacturing tools.
Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities for manufacturing tools.
Perform regular tool maintenance and manage equipment stabilization.
Respond to sudden manufacturing tool malfunctions during day and night shifts.
Check wafer process conditions after manufacturing equipment resumes operation.
Support the ramp-up of mass-production capacity as a tool maintenance engineer.

Requirements

High school graduation or above.
Experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing fab.
Experience with semiconductor wafer process tools or manufacturing-line process development for semiconductor optical devices is highly recommended.
Willingness to work day and night shifts.
