Senior Accountant

Location: United States - Remote

Salary: $94,000–$174,000 per year

What you will do

• Own accounting for compensation-related costs, including payroll journal entries, benefits accruals, stock compensation, and employee-related entries.
• Execute monthly close activities, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and investigate reconciling items.
• Manage open purchase order accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and account flux analysis.
• Review and approve Staff Accountant work papers, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Partner with payroll, benefits, business owners, and international third-party accountants to ensure accurate accounting data and reconcile US GAAP books to local statutory books.
• Support SEC schedules, audits, accounting system improvements, and ad hoc projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX internal controls.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and strong analytical, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail abilities.
• Ability to work independently, cross-functionally, and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• CPA certification is preferred; experience with Oracle Fusion, BlackLine, or Coupa is a plus.
