Operations Supervisor (Evenings/Overnights) (Broadcast Operations)

Location: Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, United States. The role supports evening and overnight shifts, weekend days, holidays, and occasional overtime on short notice.

Salary: USD 85,000–95,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Supervise shifts of on-air cable operations for hirify.global networks, distribution channels, and streaming events.
• Monitor and maintain satellite, fiber, terrestrial, and cloud-based distribution streams.
• Coordinate schedules, technical operators, maintenance events, and live broadcasts across sports, news, and entertainment channels.
• Resolve day-of-air issues with Sales Operations, Engineering, Programming, Scheduling, Promotions, and brand leaders.
• Lead live-event transmission, contingency decisions, off-air adjustments, record/turnaround processes, and issue documentation.
• Create and maintain scheduling plans, transmission information, SOPs, guidelines, and operational improvement projects.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in an on-air broadcast environment.
• At least 3 years of knowledge of television production, broadcast operations, and technical requirements for news, sports, and entertainment.
• Strong computer, communication, facilitation, troubleshooting, prioritization, and process skills.
• Ability to lead and adapt in a fast-paced 24/7 broadcast environment.
• Willingness and ability to work scheduled nights, both weekend days, holidays, and overtime on short notice.
• Ability to meet or exceed performance expectations.

Nice to have

• BA or BS in a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience leading live television events and coaching others.
• Extensive knowledge of digital broadcast and production systems, standards, and processes.
• Experience with cloud-based automation, real-time systems, digital video and audio, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Understanding of workplace staffing rules and off-hours personnel scheduling.
