Field Sales Engineer (Midwest)

Location: USA - IL - Chicago

Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 On Target Earnings / Total Target Compensation

What you will do

• Provide pre-sales engineering and technical support for sales opportunities.
• Prepare technical sales support materials, including system design recommendations.
• Develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Information (RFIs).
• Coordinate on-site proof of concept and trial installations.
• Perform in-depth on-site troubleshooting and provide solutions.
• Present training seminars on-site and through webinars; support project management and maintenance initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or Information Systems.
• 4+ years of experience in networking and/or video-related systems, preferably with customer-facing experience.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, RESTful, infrastructure, troubleshooting).
• Strong verbal and listening skills, plus proven positive customer interaction.
• Solid technical writing skills (white papers, manuals, instructions) and ability to document video/audio/network topologies.
• Reside in the Chicagoland area.
