Senior Accountant, Commercial Accounting (ASC 606/Inventory): Owning end-to-end accounting for accessories and merchandise, from revenue recognition and inventory accounting to returns and financial reporting, with an accent on principal-versus-agent assessments, transaction flows, and scalable controls. What you will do
- Prepare and post journal entries for accessories and merchandise sales, including ASC 606 revenue recognition and principal-versus-agent evaluations.
- Own inventory accounting, including cost of goods sold, adjustments, reserves, physical reconciliations, and monthly roll-forwards.
- Manage customer return accounting, including reserve estimates, recording, and reconciliation with operational systems.
- Design and verify transaction flows with IT and Digital teams, including API feeds between e-commerce platforms and the ERP.
- Lead monthly close activities and product-line profitability reporting.
- Partner with FP&A, maintain internal controls, support audits, and evaluate accounting impacts of new products, sales channels, and operational changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA candidacy is preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of ASC 606, including principal-versus-agent determinations in merchandise or e-commerce.
- Experience with inventory accounting, COGS, reserves, and physical count reconciliation.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, with SAP preferred, and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to build processes from scratch in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

- Automotive, EV, e-commerce, or consumer products experience.
- CPA or CPA candidacy and public accounting experience.
