Sr. Specialist, Construction (Automotive)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings, company events, and travel are required.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead multi-site automotive retail and service construction programs, including ground-up facilities, additions, renovations, rebrands, and upgrades.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, rollout strategies, pipelines, risks, and portfolio-level reporting.
• Oversee construction, inspections, equipment installation, facility turnover, punch lists, warranty walks, and closeout activities.
• Coordinate contractors, architects, engineers, equipment vendors, Real Estate, Architecture, Preconstruction, Operations, Facilities, IT, Security, and EHS stakeholders.
• Manage bids, contracts, procurement, invoices, change orders, cost tracking, and final budget reconciliation.
• Standardize prototype facility processes, shop layouts, brand compliance, and vendor networks to improve speed-to-market and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and at least 8 years of construction management experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience delivering multi-site rollout programs across diverse geographic regions and managing high volumes of work.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, permitting, building codes, safety standards, cost management, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles.
• Working knowledge of automotive service shop design, retail operations, service lifts, oil/water separators, EV charging infrastructure, and related systems.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Procore, Smartsheet, and MS Project.
• Ability to work primarily from the Charlotte office and travel for in-person meetings and events.
