Financial Systems Lead (NetSuite)

What you will do

• Own financial-systems strategy and execution across the network of companies.
• Evaluate and recommend financial platforms, including QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, industry-specific ERPs, payment processors, sales tax software, accounting automation, and specialized tools.
• Design and lead ERP transitions with implementation partners and company finance teams, advising on configuration, customization, and process changes.
• Establish scalable standards for multi-subsidiary accounting, intercompany transactions, reporting structures, and tax compliance.
• Assess vendor and partner proposals, challenge over-engineered solutions, and support leadership with technical evaluations.
• Diagnose financial-systems problems, coordinate solutions with partners and vendors, and perform hands-on troubleshooting and implementation work.

Requirements

• 7–12 years of experience in ERP implementations, financial-systems leadership, enterprise accounting, or related fields.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of NetSuite and practical experience with other financial-systems tools.
• Strong judgment regarding financial-systems architecture and the ability to evaluate trade-offs between platforms, vendors, and implementation approaches.
• Experience evaluating and advising on technology vendors and solutions, including identifying over-engineering.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and adapting in growing organizations.
• Clear communication with finance teams, implementation partners, technology leaders, and business executives.
• Willingness to work hands-on as an individual contributor by troubleshooting problems, reviewing implementation details, and supporting execution directly.

Nice to have

• Experience leading ERP implementations or modernization initiatives for companies with multiple subsidiaries or complex financial needs.
• Experience as a financial-systems consultant, solution architect, or in-house finance technology leader.
• Experience evaluating and managing multiple financial-systems platforms and tools.
• Background in financial operations, corporate accounting, or finance technology.
• Hands-on expertise in NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar cloud platforms.
