Strategic Sourcing Manager (SaaS)

What you will do

• Build the strategic sourcing and procurement function from the ground up, including workflows, tools, and a source-to-pay framework in Workday.
• Develop multi-year category strategies and lead end-to-end supplier selection for high-spend categories.
• Negotiate complex contracts covering pricing, service-level agreements, legal terms, and performance incentives.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, business reviews, compliance, market risks, and contingency planning.
• Analyze spend to identify maverick purchasing, consolidation opportunities, and total cost of ownership improvements.
• Audit the SaaS portfolio, eliminate redundant tools, consolidate agreements, and manage renewal pipelines proactively.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with a track record managing a high-spend portfolio.
• Experience building a sourcing function or department where none previously existed.
• Deep understanding of SaaS licensing models, including per-seat, consumption-based, and tiered pricing.
• Experience interpreting complex SaaS terms of service and managing software suppliers.
• Experience discovering shadow IT and hidden software spend using tools such as Zylo, Blissfully, or spend exports.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder influence, data storytelling, and change-management skills.
