Manager, Accounting

Location: Montreal, Canada; hybrid work arrangement

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements and support investor reporting.
• Own the general ledger, including journal entry review, system maintenance, and account reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain internal financial controls and procedures to support audit readiness.
• Coordinate annual external audits and manage documentation and responses across the finance function.
• Manage and develop a team of at least two direct reports while supporting acquisition-related integrations and multinational financial consolidation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle close and financial reporting.
• At least 2 years of experience managing direct reports in an accounting or finance function.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable enterprise ERP system.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting financial information and collaborating across departments.

Nice to have

• CPA designation.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions.
