Accounting Manager - Temporary Contract Position (12 Months) (NetSuite)

What you will do

• Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, fixed asset transactions, intangible asset entries, and other accounting adjustments.
• Review fixed asset, lease, and intangible asset schedules and analyze related general ledger accounts, unusual balances, fluctuations, and reconciling items.
• Prepare balance sheet analysis reports and reconciliation summaries for senior management.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, financial reporting, and compliance deliverables.
• Support the NetSuite ERP reimplementation through stakeholder coordination, open-item tracking, data cleansing, migration readiness, validation, and reporting review.
• Contribute to accounting operations, process improvements, and special projects as business priorities evolve.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of progressive corporate accounting, public accounting, or accounting operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on NetSuite ERP experience is required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage priorities independently, meet deadlines, communicate progress, and escalate issues when needed.
• Professional accounting designation such as CPA Canada or U.S. CPA is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP implementation or reimplementation, data validation, data migration, testing, process documentation, or system-related accounting projects.
