What you will do

• Develop and optimize Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision-Language Models (VLMs) for complex financial workflows.
• Apply rigorous quantitative methodologies to solve challenges in language understanding, generation, and multimodal AI.
• Collaborate on distributed training and model optimization tasks.
• Communicate research findings effectively to technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to building a world-class AI team from the ground up.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Palo Alto, CA (On-site role).
• Direct experience with LLMs or VLMs in research or production environments.
• Strong research background in NLP, Machine Learning, or related disciplines.
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
• Proven track record in solving complex problems in language modeling.

Nice to have

• PhD in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
• First-authored publications in top-tier conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, or EMNLP.
• Research expertise in meta-learning, hypernetworks, or Online Continual Learning.
• Experience with Kaggle competitions.
