AI Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in or able to work from New York City or San Francisco (Hybrid)

Compensation: $180,000 – $260,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Prototype and scale experimental models including LLMs and RL agents on large-scale real-world data.
• Build and maintain robust tools and pipelines for model training, evaluation, and analysis.
• Translate state-of-the-art research papers into high-performance, scalable production systems.
• Own the full ML lifecycle from data engineering and experimentation to final deployment.
• Collaborate closely with scientists and founders in a high-agency, engineering-driven environment.

Requirements

• Strong background in deep learning, reinforcement learning, or computational modeling.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and significant experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
• Proven ability to translate research concepts into robust, scalable software systems.
• Experience with distributed computing and large-scale ML pipelines.
• Expertise in leveraging modern AI coding tools to maximize productivity while maintaining high code quality.
