Mobile Architect (POS Terminal)

What you will do

• Design and lead the architecture of POS terminal solutions across multiple platforms.
• Ensure security, scalability, performance, stability, and reliability across POS systems and related applications.
• Make architectural decisions involving payment technologies, EMV standards, hardware compatibility, processors, and gateways.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, diagrams, and engineering best practices.
• Lead code reviews, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and development of POS-related applications.
• Mentor engineers, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and participate in technical hiring.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in system design, architecture, and development, specifically in the POS terminal domain.
• Strong Android Native development experience with Java or Kotlin and knowledge of Android-based POS solutions.
• Experience with cross-platform mobile development such as Flutter; familiarity with C and JavaScript-based POS platforms is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of EMV security protocols, chip-based transactions, encryption, and key management.
• Experience integrating POS hardware including card readers, PIN pads, printers, and other peripherals.
• Strong understanding of payment systems architecture, software quality assurance, complex system interactions, communication, and technical leadership.
