Global Safety and Security Lead, Workplace and Facilities

Location: Austin, Chicago, New York City, Salt Lake City, or San Francisco, United States. Up to 30% domestic and international travel may be required.

Annual salary: $130,000–$195,000 USD, with potential additional incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead global physical security operations, including access control, visitor management, surveillance, investigations, incident response, and vendor oversight.
• Build and maintain global health, safety, and environmental policies aligned with local regulations and company standards.
• Manage workplace risk assessments, audits, compliance tracking, emergency preparedness, crisis communications, and evacuation planning.
• Create crisis management and business continuity frameworks for offices and remote setups, and develop mitigation strategies for global risks.
• Partner with Workplace, People, IT, Security, Legal, Facilities, local authorities, landlords, and emergency services.
• Provide data-driven reporting to senior leadership and promote a consistent culture of safety, security, and well-being.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in safety and/or security management, ideally in a global technology or high-growth environment.
• Strong knowledge of international HSE regulations and global security best practices.
• Experience leading distributed teams and managing third-party vendors across multiple countries.
• Strong problem-solving, crisis management, stakeholder communication, analytical, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Experience with physical security information management systems, digital surveillance, electronic access control, alarm management, investigations, and reporting systems.
• Proficiency with computer software and platforms, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; strong ability to use AI tools is required.

Nice to have

• CSP, NEBOSH, OSHA, CPP, or equivalent certification.
