Sr. Staff Electrical Test Engineer - Atlas (Robotics)

Salary: $140,000–$185,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead the design, deployment, commissioning, and debugging of manufacturing test systems for the Atlas robotics program.
• Own test coverage for cable and harness assemblies, PCBAs, and electromechanical assemblies in pilot production.
• Design and build PCBA functional test fixtures and hi-pot/dielectric withstand test stations.
• Analyze test results, failure trends, test escapes, and correlation issues to drive root-cause corrective actions.
• Partner with manufacturing, production, quality, and process engineering teams to improve test methods and equipment.
• Document procedures and best practices, support station deployments and maintenance, train manufacturing personnel, and mentor engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent, with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and debugging hi-pot/dielectric withstand setups and bed-of-nails or clamshell PCBA test fixtures.
• Experience with power supplies, DMMs, DAQ hardware, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and strong electrical debugging.
• Experience taking products from design handoff through validated, production-ready test coverage and supporting NPI.
• Test software development experience using Python or C++.
• Experience with 3D modeling and schematic capture or PCB layout tools, including Catia, SolidWorks, NX, Altium, or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Experience in robotics, aerospace, precision actuators, or high-performance electromechanical systems.
• Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, PLM systems such as Arena or Enovia, SPC, yield tracking, or MES integration.
• Experience working with external suppliers, contract manufacturers, or design firms on tooling and test requirements.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux, data analytics for root-cause analysis, and PCB design in Altium.
