Country Manager – Nigeria (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own the Nigerian P&L, growth targets, and market strategy.
• Build and manage relationships with local partners, merchants, and financial institutions.
• Lead user acquisition, activation, and retention initiatives in Nigeria.
• Represent hirify.global with regulators, government bodies, and industry associations.
• Recruit, manage, and develop a local team, including community ambassadors and business development staff.
• Provide market intelligence, competitive analysis, and localization recommendations to headquarters.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in country management or market leadership, preferably in fintech, payments, or financial services.
• Deep knowledge of and network within Nigeria’s financial, technology, or startup ecosystem.
• Proven experience driving growth and managing cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in local Nigerian languages.
• Experience with crypto, stablecoins, or digital assets.
• Established relationships with Nigerian regulators or key industry stakeholders.
