Senior Product Manager (Kubernetes & Cloud)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for container and cloud data protection, from discovery and requirements through launch and continuous improvement.
• Write implementation-ready PRDs and user stories based on Kubernetes runtime behavior, scheduling, storage, and backup/restore workflows.
• Validate solutions hands-on by setting up clusters, reproducing customer issues, testing recovery flows, and evaluating competitive products.
• Drive architecture and design discussions with engineering and prioritize the backlog based on customer impact, feasibility, and competitive positioning.
• Define cloud-native protection and recovery requirements for Kubernetes and OpenShift across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Build technical demos, documentation, and best-practice guides while supporting sales engineering and go-to-market activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of product management or engineering experience in enterprise software, cloud platforms, or data protection, including 3+ years with containerized environments.
• Hands-on production or lab experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting Kubernetes or OpenShift, including scheduling, persistent storage, networking, and RBAC.
• Experience with container-native backup and recovery, application-consistent snapshots, VolumeSnapshot APIs, Velero or equivalent tools, and stateful application restoration.
• Proficiency with kubectl, Helm, Kubernetes manifests, YAML, and Operators.
• Working knowledge of at least two of AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and Google GKE, including managed nodes, cloud storage, and IAM or identity mapping.

• OpenShift features including OLM, OpenShift Virtualization, Route/Ingress differences, and SCC policies.
• Terraform or Pulumi, CI/CD, GitOps, Argo CD, or Flux.
• Service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd and container storage platforms including Trident, Portworx, Rook/Ceph, or cloud-native storage classes.
• Virtualization, hybrid-environment data protection, compliance requirements, or an MBA.
