CAD Configuration Manager (Teamcenter)

What you will do

• Own the structure, release state, and configuration integrity of a designated top-level assembly from concept through production.
• Coordinate subassembly leads on naming conventions, merge cadence, interfaces, space claims, and modeling standards.
• Track mechanical-to-electrical, mechanical-to-fluid, and mechanical-to-software interfaces, including geometry, tolerance, and connector changes.
• Administer Teamcenter, including uptime, upgrades, patches, licensing, feature rollouts, and integrations with manufacturing and test software.
• Govern Teamcenter and Siemens NX access controls, workflow templates, release processes, change control, and workflow audits.
• Develop CAD, configuration management, Teamcenter, and ECO/ECR training and documentation for engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Five to seven years of professional mechanical design and CAD experience, including complex assemblies in Siemens NX or an equivalent commercial CAD package.
• Hands-on experience administering Teamcenter or another commercial PLM platform such as Windchill or Enovia.
• Experience coordinating across engineering disciplines and managing interfaces with systems engineering.
• Working familiarity with engineering change management, ECO/ECR processes, and release control.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation and training materials.

Nice to have

• Experience owning a top-level assembly for a hardware product through release.
• PDM license negotiation, vendor management, or Teamcenter workflow design and auditing experience.
• Familiarity with Model-Based Definition, Design-in-Context, PMI workflows, NX Open, BMIDE, or ITK.
• Experience in fusion energy, aerospace, defense, medical devices, or another regulated hardware environment.
• Experience delivering technical training for engineering teams.
