Location: Auckland, New Zealand. For security reasons, New Zealand office candidates undergo background and nationality checks and must be eligible to access ITAR-regulated equipment and data; eligible nationalities include Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the European Union, or a NATO country, subject to the applicable regulations.

What you will do
- Develop flight software and related tooling in Python and potentially C++.
- Enhance Python simulation tooling and automate post-processing of test and simulation data.
- Analyze and visualize test, simulation, and time-domain data.
- Improve user tooling for live telemetry data viewing.
- Strengthen testing and robustness of the C++ codebase.
- Collaborate with engineers across departments, participate in team meetings, and contribute ideas.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, computer science, or a similar discipline.
- Experience with C++ or Python.
- Experience with Git version control and a good understanding of software development workflows.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for aerospace, space technology, and innovation.
- Must meet the applicable ITAR access and nationality eligibility requirements for the New Zealand office.
Nice to have
- Final-year student status.
- Experience processing and visualizing time-domain data.
- Experience with CI/CD.
- Previous software development or aerospace internship or project experience.
- Familiarity with telemetry and commanding systems.
