GNC Software Intern

Location: Munich, Germany

Company

Develops, produces, and operates Nyx, a modular and reusable orbital vehicle designed for in-orbit refuelling and cargo transportation, with potential future human transport.

What you will do

• Support the design and development of the spacecraft and mission AOCS/GNC subsystem.
• Develop, implement, test, and validate GNC algorithms and flight software.
• Maintain spacecraft simulation environments and six-degree-of-freedom models.
• Participate in simulation campaigns, unit testing, Software-in-the-Loop testing, hardware modelling, and integration activities.
• Perform performance analysis, trade studies, mission assessments, and post-flight analysis.
• Develop automation tools for analysis, testing, and reporting, and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BSc or MSc in Aerospace Engineering, Control Engineering, Robotics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong understanding of dynamics, orbital mechanics, flight mechanics, or control systems.
• Programming experience in C++ and Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with initiative and willingness to learn.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of additional programming languages or engineering tools.
• German or French language skills.
• Interest in advancing the commercial space industry.
