Senior Associate, Legal Counsel (Securities)

Location: Hybrid role with expected onsite work in hirify.global’s San Francisco office, United States

Salary: $180,000–$210,000 per year, plus benefits

What you will do

• Advise investment, advisory, and client service teams on United States securities and investment advisory laws, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
• Support securities and investment advisory matters in international jurisdictions, including the United Kingdom and Singapore.
• Monitor regulatory developments, interpret evolving requirements, and support timely compliance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on policy development, compliance training, and best-practice implementation.
• Assist with regulatory inquiries, examinations, and audits alongside internal stakeholders and outside counsel.
• Provide general legal support across regulatory, fund, corporate, contract, and investment matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the United States.
• 4+ years of relevant experience at a leading law firm or in-house legal department.
• Working knowledge of the Securities Act of 1933, Securities Exchange Act of 1934, or Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders and collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in developing as a generalist legal and compliance professional.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with United Kingdom or Singapore securities and investment advisory regulations.
• Interest in using artificial intelligence tools to improve legal and compliance workflows.
