What you will do
- Manage manuscripts through the peer-review process for journals in computer science and related subject areas.
- Identify, invite, and secure appropriate peer reviewers and ensure timely delivery of high-quality reports.
- Assess new submissions for journal suitability and make editorial triage decisions when required.
- Monitor the peer-review pipeline and support editors with decisions and manuscript progress.
- Implement peer-review policies, uphold ethical and editorial standards, and protect journal reputation.
- Collaborate with editorial, production, and publishing teams on workflow improvements and strategic projects.
Requirements
- Masterβs degree or higher in Computer Science or a related subject area.
- Strong scientific comprehension, analytical and logical reasoning, and ability to make critical quality decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, scientific and academic writing skills.
- Experience working in a research or professional environment is preferred.
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal, stakeholder-management, resilience, and customer-service skills.
- Understanding of the scientific research community and its needs.
Nice to have
- Experience as a peer reviewer or author.
- Journal publication history.
- Understanding of publishing workflows and systems in open-access publishing.
