Associate Director, Scientific Communications (Biotech)

Location: Remote in the United States

Base salary: $210,000–$255,000 USD per annum, plus discretionary bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Develop and execute Scientific Communications strategy and scalable processes within Medical Affairs.
• Lead publication planning and dissemination across manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations.
• Lead scientific planning and execution for major medical congresses.
• Create and maintain scientific slide decks, FAQs, educational resources, advisory board materials, and presentations.
• Translate complex clinical and scientific data into accurate, engaging communications for diverse scientific audiences.
• Own the treatment-resistant depression Scientific Communications Platform and support development of the PTSD platform.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree such as PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, PsyD, or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Communications, Publications, or a related biopharmaceutical or scientific communications function.
• Demonstrated experience leading publication planning and execution, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and scientific presentations.
• Experience supporting scientific communications for major medical congresses.
• Exceptional scientific writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear communications.
• Applicants must have employment rights in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Prior leadership experience in Scientific Communications.
• Experience in psychiatry, neuroscience, or other CNS therapeutic areas.
• Launch or pre-commercial experience.
