Scientific Implementation Associate (Scientific Software)

Location: New York, San Francisco, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Munich, or London

Salary: New York and San Francisco $75,000–$85,000; Cleveland and Pittsburgh $65,000–$75,000; Munich €55,000–€70,000; London £50,000–£65,000. Equity and performance bonus offered.

What you will do

• Support senior implementation team members in onboarding customers and expanding existing implementations.
• Configure the platform to represent customers' experimental workflows, data environments, formulations, measurements, and results.
• Structure and contextualize complex scientific datasets, including legacy spreadsheets and non-standard data relationships.
• Collaborate with customers to test, refine, and validate platform configurations.
• Join and eventually lead meetings with R&D scientists, data managers, and technical stakeholders.
• Own customer implementations end to end over time, including timelines, milestones, and product development requests.

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in chemistry, materials science, biology, chemical engineering, or a related field, or at least one year of hands-on scientific or technical experience.
• Comfort working with data in Excel or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with scientific or technical software such as ELN, LIMS, instrument software, or data analysis tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Empathy, adaptability, curiosity, and the ability to learn new tools quickly in data-heavy environments.

Nice to have

• Hands-on laboratory experience and exposure to data management concepts.
• Python or scripting experience for data processing or analysis.
• Experience in customer-facing, teaching, or collaborative technical roles.
• Familiarity with multiple scientific domains, such as organic chemistry, polymer science, biotech, or formulation.

Hiring process

• Initial onboarding and platform training during the first month.
• Participation in customer meetings, demos, scientific due diligence, and data requirements discussions during months two and three.
• Expected progression to ownership of a new customer implementation during months four through six.
