Salary: $59,527–$78,725 USD per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

Company

hirify.global develops quantum computing, networking, sensing, and security platforms and builds quantum processing hardware.

What you will do

  • Execute released procedures for cleaning, assembling, bonding, inspecting, and testing packaged ion traps and quick-turn hardware.
  • Operate and maintain complex packaging equipment, including equipment used for bonding, reflow, cleaning, and inspection.
  • Handle small, fragile, high-value components under a microscope with precise, steady movements.
  • Perform incoming inspections and accurately complete travelers, work orders, discrepancy reports, process data, and test records.
  • Interpret initial process and test data, identify trends and anomalies, and escalate deviations to engineering.
  • Support cleanroom operations through 5S, workspace and equipment cleaning, consumable restocking, and work-order preparation.

Requirements

  • At least approximately 2 years of hands-on experience in high-tech manufacturing, laboratory, or precision-assembly environments such as semiconductor, photonics, RF, medical device, or aerospace.
  • Demonstrated fine motor skills with small components, including professional microscope work, microelectronics rework, or comparable precision assembly.
  • Ability to read and precisely follow blueprints, specifications, and operating procedures, with judgment to stop when procedures and reality differ.
  • Ability to work onsite five days per week in College Park, Maryland, including extended cleanroom, standing, and microscope work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly handle solvents and epoxies with appropriate PPE.
  • Clear written and verbal communication and basic proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

  • Experience operating and troubleshooting wire bonders, die-attach or pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, epoxy dispense systems, or metrology tools.
  • Experience working in an ISO Class 6 or cleaner gowned cleanroom.
  • Two-year technical degree or higher.
  • Experience with ERP, PLM, or MES systems, including NetSuite, Duro, or Jira.
  • Experience with cryogenic or ultra-high-vacuum hardware.

Culture & Benefits

  • Standard weekday schedule with minimal overtime as needed.
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Matching 401(k), unlimited PTO, and paid holidays.
  • Parental and adoption leave, legal insurance, and a home technology stipend.
  • Work environment focused on autonomy, productivity, respect, inclusion, and equal opportunity.

Hiring process

  • In-person, hands-on bench evaluation at the College Park facility.
  • Additional immigration-status questions may be required for U.S. export-control and government-contract compliance.
