Area Manager II (Warehouse Operations)

Location: ATL1 - Atlanta, GA; onsite distribution center environment

What you will do

• Lead and develop warehouse associates and operations leads to achieve daily goals.
• Coordinate with HR, Safety, Customer Service, and other operations leaders to drive results.
• Address operational and personnel issues affecting the assigned area.
• Implement process improvements and workload-efficiency mechanisms.
• Use workload-planning tools and the Order Management System to complete scheduled work and fulfill orders to required standards.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and variances while maintaining quality and inventory accuracy.

Requirements

• Two to four years of experience with warehouse management systems or inventory systems in a high-volume facility.
• Previous leadership experience and a bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• Strong organizational, time-management, communication, interpersonal, and basic data-entry skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage pressure and deadlines, and build effective working relationships.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, transport up to 20 lbs., and use material-handling equipment such as forklifts.
• Ability to work onsite in a distribution center, including varying heights, temperatures, moderate noise, occasional overtime, evenings, and weekends as required.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, operations, supply chain/logistics, business administration, operations management, or a related field.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other process-improvement methods.
