Senior Software Engineer (React Native)

Location: Hybrid, based in the San Francisco office; in-person attendance three days per week. Remote days require work during core business hours.

Salary: $164,000–$247,000 annual base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build the new gastrointestinal digital care product from scratch and deliver major product capabilities.
• Develop high-quality, performant software across React Native, backend services, GraphQL, and AI-enabled systems.
• Lead complex projects from roadmap definition through launch, measurement, and iteration.
• Run A/B and multivariate experiments and use results to guide product decisions.
• Improve testing, CI/CD, observability, reliability, accessibility, performance, and developer tooling.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, design discussions, and technical guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience and 4+ years with a programming language and the full software development life cycle.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript/JavaScript, React Native, and modern mobile development tooling.
• Experience with TypeScript/Node, Go, GraphQL, AWS services, client performance, and application architecture.
• Experience building consumer-facing applications, delivering large production projects, and integrating product surfaces across multiple platforms.
• Experience with experiments, mentoring engineers, cross-functional collaboration, and regulated healthcare or other sensitive-data environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI agents, computer vision, medical device integration, or SageMaker.
• Familiarity with backend services such as Node/TypeScript and GraphQL.
