Protection from Violence Programme Development Manager for Haiti

Location: Port-au-Prince, Haiti; travel to areas of intervention approximately 40% of the time.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a senior project implementation role in a humanitarian or recovery context.
• Advanced academic qualification in law, social sciences, or a related field.
• Experience working in complex and volatile humanitarian contexts, including protection case management and community-based interventions.
• Fluency in English and French, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of protection issues, legal frameworks, international humanitarian law, human rights, and child protection in armed conflict.
• Experience implementing new protection programmes, including evaluation, strategy development, and proposal writing.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Haitian Creole.
• Experience and knowledge of the Haitian context.
• Knowledge of humanitarian standards such as Sphere and PAH.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and growth of the Protection from Violence programme in Haiti.
• Directly supervise the PfV team, including performance management, recruitment, induction, and staff training.
• Develop and update PfV strategies, technical procedures, guidelines, and programme logframes in coordination with other specialists and programme development managers.
• Ensure alignment with NRC policies, global PfV strategies, national strategies, protection frameworks, and safe and inclusive programming standards.
• Lead proposal writing and programme development processes to diversify donor funding.
• Facilitate training, support capacity building, and contribute to community mobilisation.
