Senior Software Engineer (.NET)

Location: Hybrid role based in Nottingham, with 40% office attendance

What you will do

• Build new features and enhancements across an established .NET product, working across the data layer and user interface.
• Write clean, secure, maintainable, and documented code in a regulated environment handling sensitive customer data.
• Improve application performance and reliability through refactoring, database optimization, and architectural changes.
• Participate in sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and the full feature delivery cycle.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager to shape and deliver features.
• Triage, maintain, and improve core application components as the user base grows.

Requirements

• Commercial experience with C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases, particularly SQL Server.
• Full-stack web development experience with ASP.NET Razor, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience writing secure code and handling sensitive data responsibly.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Ability to own tasks through completion and collaborate in an agile team.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms and cloud-native technologies.
• Understanding of microservices and event-based architectures.
• Familiarity with HTMX.
• CI/CD experience with Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
