Senior Software Engineer (.NET)

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom. Hybrid working requires a minimum of 50% of working time per month in the office; new starters initially work full-time from the office.

What you will do

• Design and deliver high-quality products as part of a cross-functional development team.
• Develop services, HTTP-based APIs, RESTful integrations, and scalable middle-tier components.
• Consider architectural and non-functional requirements throughout delivery.
• Work with Agile methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Guide and mentor team members while helping build a high-performance engineering team.

Requirements

• Significant commercial experience with C#, .NET Core, MongoDB and/or SQL.
• Experience with domain-driven design, MVC, Entity Framework Core, REST, JSON, and web development using Angular, React, or Vue.
• Thorough understanding of CI/CD pipelines and test-driven development.
• Experience developing scalable, highly available, high-performance components and cloud-based solutions on AWS.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Web API, Google Protocol Buffers, and message queues such as RabbitMQ or SQS.
• Strong communication skills and experience with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe; e-commerce or financial services experience is valued.
