Senior AI Multimodal Researcher

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; hybrid with flexible location options

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 annual base salary for the Atlanta area, plus bonus, benefits, and possible equity.

What you will do

• Design and develop multimodal AI models for immersive audio-visual content creation, enhancement, and rendering.
• Combine deep learning with signal processing, human perception, and perceptual quality metrics.
• Build prototypes and evaluate systems using objective metrics and human or perceptual assessment.
• Collaborate with research and engineering teams to translate concepts into robust, production-ready solutions.
• Contribute to publications, patents, technology transfer, and shipped hirify.global technologies.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry research experience.
• Research experience in multimodal AI, generative AI, computer vision, audio analysis, or audiovisual analysis.
• Research impact demonstrated through publications or patents at leading venues, or equivalent industry impact.
• Hands-on experience with Python and/or C/C++ for prototyping and evaluating machine learning systems.
• Strong AI/ML foundations, algorithm and model architecture development skills, and effective cross-functional communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with perceptual quality metrics for video or audio, including objective and subjective evaluation.
• Experience with real-time or production-scale media systems.
• Experience with model compression, optimization, and deep learning deployment.
