Claims Business Analyst

What you will do

• Analyse large volumes of claims and operational data to produce management information, KPI reporting, and business insight.
• Identify trends, risks, root causes, and improvement opportunities, translating complex datasets into actionable recommendations.
• Conduct operational audits and quality reviews across Claims and Legal Services.
• Prepare governance reports and assurance packs, monitor corrective actions, and present findings to stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Coordinate the peer review programme, monitoring completion, quality standards, outcomes, and performance trends.
• Challenge existing processes and support reporting, automation, Power BI, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in business analysis, operational controls, audit, quality assurance, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, data manipulation, and reporting.
• Experience producing management information and KPI reporting and communicating insights clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail, independence, and ownership of deliverables.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with regular attendance at the Croydon office.

Nice to have

• Insurance, Claims, Legal Services, Financial Services, or other regulated-environment experience.
• VBA, macros, or reporting automation experience.
• Experience presenting findings in governance forums.
• Exposure to operational performance, audit, or assurance activities.
