CPU Solutions Specialist

Location: Hybrid; based in the UK, Taiwan, or Finland. Occasional travel and some meetings outside regular business hours may be required. A valid EU work permit is required.

What you will do

• Track current and upcoming CPU technologies over the next 12–18 months and assess their relevance to hirify.global.
• Gather and consolidate CPU requirements from infrastructure, platform, cloud, and storage teams.
• Translate workloads, constraints, and internal requirements into clear CPU specifications for vendor discussions.
• Advise engineers, vendors, and non-technical stakeholders on CPU selection and system-level trade-offs.
• Lead or support technical discussions with CPU manufacturers, including AMD, ARM, and Intel vendors.
• Document the reasoning behind CPU recommendations so decisions are repeatable and reusable.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on knowledge of CPUs, with essential experience with AMD.
• Strong understanding of CPU compute nuances and the role of CPUs in wider systems.
• Experience gathering technical requirements and managing stakeholders.
• Ability to document technical decisions clearly and lead CPU vendor conversations independently.
• Relevant experience in hardware, infrastructure, or compute environments.
• Excellent written and verbal English and a valid EU work permit.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with HPC, cloud compute, or virtualization workloads.
• Knowledge of ARM and Intel CPU platforms.
