Senior Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement security controls across AWS environments, including IAM, networking, encryption, secrets, Kubernetes, containers, and serverless workloads.
• Conduct threat modeling and security architecture reviews for products, APIs, data pipelines, integrations, and AI or agentic workflows.
• Protect sensitive customer, financial, compensation, and employee data through tenant isolation, fine-grained access controls, logging, and auditability.
• Embed static analysis, dependency, container, secrets, infrastructure-as-code, and dynamic security testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve security monitoring, detection logic, incident-response runbooks, tabletop exercises, investigations, and root-cause analysis.
• Strengthen identity governance, compliance controls, security tooling, customer security reviews, and security enablement across Engineering.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, application security, DevSecOps, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience securing AWS environments, including IAM, networking, encryption, logging, and secrets management.
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, containers, and security controls in CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of application and API security, authentication, authorization, and multi-tenant SaaS risks.
• Experience with vulnerability management, threat modeling, incident response, and security automation.
• Ability to script with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or a similar language, with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, privacy programs, or enterprise customer security reviews.
• Experience securing analytics platforms, data pipelines, or systems containing sensitive customer data.
• Experience with AWS security services, EKS, Datadog, Wiz, Snyk, CrowdStrike, or similar tools.
• Experience securing AI applications, large language models, agents, or Amazon Bedrock workloads.
• Security or cloud certifications and experience in B2B SaaS or high-growth technology companies.
