Director, Enterprise Public Relations (Life Sciences)

Salary: $180,000–$281,250 per year, plus bonus, stock, and benefits

What you will do

• Develop and implement enterprise public-relations strategies aligned with company goals, values, and growth plans.
• Lead a global public-relations team and enterprise external-communications initiatives.
• Manage media relations, enterprise PR social-media strategy, M&A communications, crisis communications, and support for Investor Relations.
• Partner with Brand, Finance, executives, and senior leaders to deliver consistent messaging and communicate business updates, quarterly results, and growth plans.
• Build communication plans for customers, industry partners, prospective employees, investors, analysts, journalists, and other external audiences.
• Anticipate the communications impact of enterprise-wide change and prepare the organization for potential crises.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience in public relations and/or external communications, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in life sciences, applied markets, or diagnostics sectors.
• Experience building and executing global external-communications programs in complex, highly matrixed organizations.
• Expertise communicating with analysts and investors, customers, and media.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, leadership, team-management, and cross-functional influencing skills.
