Backend Team Lead (C#)

Location: Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Tel Aviv District, Israel (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Lead and grow a backend engineering team while building a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Design, develop, and deliver backend services, APIs, and data pipelines in a cloud-native microservices environment.
• Translate product, research, and operations needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive architectural decisions while balancing performance, reliability, and cost.
• Maintain engineering standards through code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and production reliability practices.
• Stay hands-on in the code for approximately 50–60% of the role and own the team roadmap and technical health.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience as a backend or software engineer.
• 1–2 years of experience leading engineers or owning technical delivery.
• Experience with C# or another object-oriented language and strong OOP fundamentals.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, AWS or similar cloud platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, backend system design, and hands-on technical leadership.
• Full professional proficiency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Production-grade backend experience with Java, NestJS, or Python in distributed cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS DevOps operations, CI/CD, monitoring, and production reliability.
• Experience in cybersecurity, data scraping, or OSINT.
• Background in startup or scale-up environments.
