Platform Engineering Group Leader (AWS/Kubernetes/SaaS): Leading the evolution of the cloud platform powering NICE Actimize SaaS offerings with an accent on platform strategy, infrastructure modernization, CI/CD, reliability, security, and developer experience. Focus on building self-service capabilities, operating scalable AWS and Kubernetes environments, strengthening observability and resilience, and applying AI and automation to improve engineering productivity.
Location: Raanana, Israel; hybrid schedule with 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely each week

What you will do
- Define and execute the Platform Engineering vision, roadmap, standards, governance, and engineering practices.
- Lead and grow a multidisciplinary organization covering DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, platform engineering, security enablement, databases, and observability.
- Own AWS cloud infrastructure strategy and lead modernization across Kubernetes, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and self-service platforms.
- Develop enterprise CI/CD platforms, deployment workflows, release engineering practices, reusable tooling, and developer self-service capabilities.
- Lead reliability, incident response, root-cause analysis, operational readiness, observability, resilience, and technical debt reduction.
- Partner with R&D, Product Management, Security, Operations, Architecture, and data platform teams on secure, compliant, scalable platform capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams and 8+ years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, cloud infrastructure, or software engineering.
- Experience leading large-scale cloud-native SaaS environments and cross-functional initiatives across multiple organizations.
- Strong AWS expertise and deep knowledge of cloud architecture, Kubernetes, containers, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, OpenTofu, CDK, CloudFormation, or Helm.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or ArgoCD, plus strong knowledge of observability and production operations.
