Company

hirify.global develops integrated quantum computing, networking, sensing, and security solutions.

What you will do

  • Perform precision optical alignment and subsystem integration for free-space, fiber-based, and high-power laser systems.
  • Integrate optical, mechanical, electrical, control-electronics, and routed systems.
  • Execute work instructions and alignment procedures, and develop or improve assembly processes.
  • Inspect and measure optomechanical assemblies using precision metrology tools.
  • Troubleshoot alignment and performance issues with mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and controls engineers.
  • Maintain traceable documentation and handle sensitive optical hardware under cleanroom and contamination-control standards.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in optics, photonics, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in optical components, aerospace, optical communications, photonics, or precision optics manufacturing.
  • Experience in optical assembly, integration, precision alignment, and an optical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with autocollimators, beam profilers, interferometers, optical power meters, polarimeters, infrared cameras, and related metrology tools.
  • Experience with ISO 5–8 cleanrooms, ESD control, laser safety, optical cleaning, and contamination-sensitive environments.
  • Access to export-controlled technology requires U.S. Person status, an applicable license, or a confirmed license exception; some government-contract work requires U.S. Person status.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with optical bonding, adhesives, optical design software such as ZEMAX, and mechanical design tools such as SolidWorks or Siemens NX.
  • Experience with R&D, product development lifecycle, design verification and validation, and technical writing.
  • Mechanical integration involving chiller, pressurized, cryogenic, or high-vacuum systems.
  • Experience with fiber-optic harnessing, MATLAB, or Python.

Culture & Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Matching 401(k), unlimited PTO, and paid holidays.
  • Parental and adoption leave, legal insurance, and a home technology stipend.
  • A workplace focused on autonomy, productivity, respect, inclusion, and equal opportunity.
