Head of Compensation (Gaming)

Location: Santa Monica, United States

Salary: $168,240–$311,260 annual base pay in the U.S.; incentive compensation may also apply but is not guaranteed.

What you will do

• Lead the planning, execution, and evolution of global compensation strategy, programs, and multi-year roadmaps.
• Advise global HR and business leaders on executive compensation, offers, retention, organizational design, and job architecture.
• Partner with ABK and Xbox HR, Total Rewards, and Finance leaders on gaming compensation strategy, governance, budgets, salary, bonus, and equity targets.
• Lead and develop the global Compensation team, establishing workplans, operating standards, and consistent service delivery.
• Oversee annual merit, promotion, bonus, and equity cycles, ensuring budget readiness, process discipline, and system optimization.
• Improve compensation systems and processes through Workday automation, reporting tools, responsible AI use, and market and regulatory insights.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience and 7+ years of management experience, depending on education and experience.
• Proven experience leading global compensation teams and compensation programs in a complex multinational organization.
• Experience building and developing high-performing teams, including senior professionals and regional or matrixed partners.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business administration, economics, finance, data science, or another quantitative field.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, influencing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills; Workday experience is highly preferred.

• Experience in technology, entertainment, or gaming.
• Comfort using AI-enabled tools for productivity, analysis, documentation, and process quality.
