Associate, Data Operations

Location: Hybrid work with expected onsite attendance at the New York office, United States

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year, plus benefits

What you will do

• Establish and promote data quality standards covering integrity, consistency, accuracy, and security.
• Support scalable data infrastructure for reporting, analytics, and regulatory requirements.
• Centralize and automate data aggregation from fund administrators, custodians, and other third-party sources.
• Support client reporting, investment dashboards, and operational analytics with accurate and timely data.
• Review portfolio management data for valuations, commitments, capital calls, and distributions, resolving reconciliation discrepancies.
• Coordinate notifications, reconciliation of incoming funds, and delivery of capital calls and distributions to relevant third parties.

Requirements

• 6+ years of accounting or operations experience within a hedge fund, private equity or venture capital firm, or fund administrator.
• Experience with Addepar or another portfolio management accounting system.
• Understanding of private fund subscription and redemption processes.
• Knowledge of Net Asset Value, unfunded commitments, IRR, and TWR calculations.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, and similar formulas.
• Experience with SQL, Snowflake, or an equivalent data warehouse.

• Familiarity with AI tools and technologies and an interest in using AI to improve productivity and workflows.
