Director of Employee Relations

Location: Arlington, Texas, United States; Monday–Friday, in-office. Up to 15% overnight travel is required.

What you will do

• Lead employee relations strategy, policy governance, and practices across a complex multi-state organization.
• Direct intake, investigations, and resolutions for complex and high-risk matters involving conduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, performance, and policy violations.
• Advise HR leadership and senior business leaders on employee relations risks, trends, and corrective actions.
• Partner with Legal on litigation exposure, agency charges, subpoenas, and outside counsel coordination.
• Establish investigation protocols, documentation standards, escalation frameworks, metrics, and reporting.
• Lead employee relations training and coach regional and divisional HR managers and coordinators.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Labor Relations, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive employee relations experience in a complex, multi-state organization.
• Prior supervisory experience and experience leading investigations and high-risk employee relations matters.
• Experience partnering with Legal and senior leadership; shared services experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work in-office in Arlington, Texas, and travel overnight up to 15%.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or Juris Doctor degree.
• SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent professional certification.
